LOGLINE
In the heart of the underground music scene, a young woman’s relationship with the enigmatic frontman of a metal band propels her into a tumultuous journey of self-discovery, blurring the line between freedom and fanaticism.

SYNOPSIS
Luana, 23, works at a daycare and lives with her mother, longing to escape her sheltered life. When her cousin Domi takes her to a rehearsal of his black-metal band WLVS (‘Wolves’), she is captivated – especially by Wiktor, the enigmatic new Polish singer. Impulsively, she joins the band on tour, facing tough conditions and proving herself through her work on social media and merchandising.
She and Wiktor begin an affair, but his behavior is erratic – tender one day, distant the next. At the same time, tensions rise within the band, leading to a power struggle between Domi and Wiktor. Luana loses her job while trying to hold both the band and her relationship together. Yet the more she learns about Wiktor, the more unsettled she feels. Who is he really?

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Jonas Ulrich, born in 1990, lives and works in Zurich. He has been active as a writer, director, and editor since 2012, working on numerous short films, commercials, and music videos. He has worked mostly in close collaboration with his team at the production company Dynamic Frame, which he co-founded with Luzius Fischer in 2013.
His short film PEOPLE ON SATURDAY (2020) won the Pardino d’oro at the 73rd Locarno Film Festival and was screened at numerous other festivals. Jonas Ulrich previously studied history and film studies at the University of Zurich and worked as a film critic.
